Shin Lee, MD

As a psychiatrist, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals seeking mental health wellness. I believe in treating the whole person, encompassing not just mental health but also physical and spiritual well-being, creating a holistic journey toward health. Together, we will explore various strategies that foster your overall wellness and enhance your quality of life. My goal is to help you achieve mental well-being and lead a fulfilling life, starting your path to comprehensive care here.

I graduated from the New York University School of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. My approach to care is deeply influenced by my personal and professional background; having been born and raised in Korea and then training in New York, I was exposed to a rich diversity of cultural backgrounds. This experience grounds my practice in cultural sensitivity and an openness to learning about the unique values of each person I see. This perspective was further broadened in New York, from serving patients at a private clinic in Union Square to providing care for uninsured populations at safety-net hospitals.

I have held numerous teaching positions, including delivering lectures to medical students and supervising both medical students and residents in clinical settings. Currently, I serve as adjunct and voluntary faculty as an Assistant Professor at both the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and Loyola University, contributing to the education and training of future healthcare professionals.
