Shin Lee, MD
As a psychiatrist, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals seeking mental health wellness. I believe in treating whole person, encompassing not just mental health but also physical and spiritual well-being, creating a holistic journey towards health. Together, we will explore various strategies that foster your overall wellness and enhance your quality of life. My goal is to help you achieve mental well-being and lead a fulfilling life starting your path to comprehensive care here.
I graduated from the New York University School of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Throughout my training and career, I have gained extensive experience working in diverse clinical settings, which has allowed me to treat a wide spectrum of psychiatric conditions. My professional journey includes serving patients from high socioeconomic backgrounds at a private clinic in Union Square, New York, as well as providing care for uninsured and homeless populations at safety-net hospitals. This range of experiences has cultivated a comprehensive understanding of mental health challenges across different communities and strengthened my ability to deliver compassionate, individualized care.
I have held numerous teaching positions, including delivering lectures to medical students and supervising both medical students and residents in clinical settings. Currently, I serve as adjunct and voluntary faculty as an Assistant Professor at both the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and Loyola University, contributing to the education and training of future healthcare professionals.
