I believe true healing happens when we treat the whole person—honoring the intersection of your physical health, cultural background, and spiritual values. At TheoMind Psychiatry, my goal is to provide a space where peace of mind and spirit meet, ensuring your path to wellness is as comprehensive and personalized as your unique story.

Healing for the Whole Person

TheoMind Psychiatry Office - 415 W Golf Rd, Arlington Heights, IL

I earned my medical degree from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. My clinical lens was further sharpened by serving diverse populations in high-pressure, safety-net hospitals, including the John J. Madden Mental Health Center.

This extensive background grounds my practice in 'Safety-First' medication management. I specialize in navigating complex regimens, managing side effects, and de-prescribing—a methodical process of safely reducing medication to help you feel your best with the leanest treatment possible.

Bridging Cultures and Educating Future Physicians

As a bilingual provider born and raised in Korea, I am passionate about providing culturally sensitive care that respects your family values and personal identity. I currently hold faculty appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and as affiliate faculty at Loyola University Chicago, where I enjoy mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.

I am committed to staying at the forefront of psychiatric medicine while maintaining the personal, direct connection that a small private practice allows.
